RECURSOS EXTERNS:
MS. IRENE MARÉS
The CCCB is one of Barcelona’s major cultural infrastructures. It opened in the 1990s and organizes and produces exhibitions, debates, festivals and concerts, film seasons and lectures while encouraging creativity through new technologies and languages. It also promotes research in fields such as multimedia and exhibition formats, and exports its in-house productions to other national and international arts centres, museums and institutions. The CCCB is located inside the former almshouse, the Casa de la Caritat, and together with the city’s museum of contemporary art, the MACBA, has become a key facility in the cultural hub of the old town, Ciutat Vella, just off La Rambla.
